K Factor
A number based on the harmonic content of load current that determines the maximum safe loading on a power source.
Kelvin
The basic temperature unit of the thermodynamic scale, symbol K. 1/273.16 of the thermodynamic temperature of the triple point of water.
Knife-Edge Pointer
Analog meter pointer with end flattened and turned edgewise so that the observer sees the thinnest dimension or edge. Often used with mirror-backed scale for increased reading accuracy by elimination of parallax.
